Barnsley 0 v Crystal Palace 0 Postponed due to snow Birmingham 1 v Burnley 1 Kevin Phillips grabbed his 13th goal of the season to earn Birmingham a point against a buoyant Burnley side. The visitor’s took the lead through Martin Paterson early on, but Phillips cancelled out their lead on 37 minutes. Blackpool 2 v Doncaster 3 Doncaster Rovers extended their unbeaten run to six games in a five goal thriller at Blackpool. David Vaughan put the home side ahead after 15 minutes, but the visitors pulled themselves level when captain Brian Stock registered his 7th of the season. Sam Hird put the visitors ahead, but their lead was short lived with DJ Campbell equalising a minute later. James Coppinger then grabbed his third goal in four league games after 64 minutes and when Charlie Adam was sent off for Blackpool on his debut, Rovers ran out comfortable runners. Charlton 0 v Cardiff City 0 Postponed due to snow Coventry 2 v Wolves 1 Sylvan Ebanks-Blake missed a penalty in the dying seconds of injury time to earn Wolves a point at the Ricoh Arena. Michael Doyle gave the home side the lead after 25 minutes, but Sam Vokes put the league leaders back on level terms midway through the second half. Their celebrations were cut short however when Leon McKenzie restored the Sky Blues lead three minutes later in what proved to be the match winner. Norwich 1 v Bristol City 2 Norwich’s six game unbeaten run under Bryan Gunn came to an end with defeat to Bristol City. The visitor’s went ahead after 14 minutes through Cole Skuse, but Jonathan Grounds pulled the sides level 10 minutes later. The Canaries were reduced to ten men when Gary Docherty was dismissed after bringing down Dele Adebola in the penalty area just before the break. Bradley Orr stepped up to convert the spot-kick. Nottingham Forest 2 v QPR 2 Chris Cohen rescued a point for Forest with a 67th minute equaliser. A Lewis McGugan penalty had given the home side the lead after Matteo Alberti brought down Luke Chambers in the area. The Italian made amends with an equaliser inside a minute to take the teams in level at the break. Alberti doubled his tally 10 minutes after the restart, but QPR were unable to retain the lead. Plymouth 0 v Derby 3 Rob Hulse grabbed his fourth goal in three games with a brace at Plymouth to hand Nigel Clough only his third win in eight games since taking the helm at Pride Park. Gary Teale netted just before the break to give them the lead and Hulse sealed the win with two second half strikes. Reading 0 v Preston NE 0 Reading failed to narrow the gap to two points by being held at home to a determined Preston side. Reading have the best home record in the English league having scored 37 goals and registering 38 points from possible 45 before today and will be the more disappointed out of the two with a goalless draw. Sheff Utd 1 v Sheff Weds 2 The Steel City derby got off to a frenetic start with Tommy Spurr putting Wednesday ahead inside the first minute before debutant Arturo Lupoli cancelled out their lead four minutes later. Marcus Tudgay restored the visitors lead just before the half hour mark which was enough for the blue half of the city to take the spoils. Swansea City 3 v Ipswich 0 Swansea stretched their unbeaten run to 14 games through Jason Scotland’s fourth brace of the season. The first came with only three minutes on the clock and he doubled the lead with his 16th of the season on 73 minutes.
