Fifteen players have scored one hundred goals in the Premier League. Alan Shearer tops the list and the newest recruits are Emile Heskey and Frank Lampard.

Fiftteen players have scored over 100 goals in the Premier League since its inception in 1992. Robbie Keane formerly of Tottenham Hotspur joined that group when he scored two goals against Fulham on Boxing Day, 2007 to reach that landmark. His Premier League goals have been scored with three clubs, Coventry City, Leeds United and Spurs.

Alan Shearer - Record Premier League Goal Scorer

The leading goalscorer is Alan Shearer who amassed 261 goals with Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle United.

Of the fifteen names on the list, only Keane, Michael Owen, Dwight Yorke, Andrew Cole, Emile Heskey and Frank Lampard are still playing in the Premier League.

  • Andrew Cole is second on the list and has scored 187 goals with Newcastle United, Manchester United and Blackburn Rovers being grateful for his goal scoring feats in the early years of his career. He is now using his experience at Sunderland as they endeavour to maintain the Premier League status.
  • Thierry Henry, the Arsenal record goal scorer is third with 171 goals.
  • Robbie Fowler has 161 goals, most were scored during his successful career with Liverpool.
  • Les Ferdinand has 150 goals with the majority coming while playing for Queen’s Park Rangers, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.
  • Teddy Sheringham has scored 147 goals from his lengthy career with Nottingham Forest, Tottenham Hotspur (2 spells), Manchester United and West Ham United.
  • Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink is next in line with 128 goals, having played for Leeds United, Chelsea, Middlesbrough and Charlton Athletic.
  • Michael Owen looks set to move up the order as he is only one goal behind Hasselbaink and in Kevin Keegan’s Newcastle United side he will be looking to add to the 9 goals he has recorded for the St.James Park side, having scored for 118 for Liverpool.
  • Dwight Yorke scored the majority of his 127 Premier League goals during successful spells with Aston Villa and Manchester United. He is still looking to add to his total with Sunderland.
  • Ian Wright, the Arsenal legend, scored 113 goals.
  • Dion Dublin has 111 goals to his credit with Coventry City and Aston Villa being the chief beneficiaries of his goal scoring talents.
  • Robbie Keane has already moved up the order, his goal against Sunderland at White Hart Lane was his 100th goal for Tottenham Hotspur.
  • Matthew Le Tissier scored exactly 100 Premier League goals for Southampton.
  • Emile Heskey, currently at Wigan Athletic and Chelsea's Frank Lampard have now joined the elite group.

Under 100 Premier League Goals

Two current players just outside the 100 mark and who will be looking to reach that important milestone in the near future are Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes of Manchester United.
